So I've linked this blog to Bloglovin now, just to let you know.
I'm sorry I've been bad at updating, but I'm sure I'll find something to post soon (such as pics of a trip to Deep Sea World)

A Trip to Edinburgh Butterfly and Insect World

So on Sunday my boyfriend Alasdair and I decided to take a trip to The Edinburgh Butterfly and Insect World because it is just down the road from my flat and neither of us had been since we were kids.

If, like me, you don't have access to a car, the number 3 and 29 buses stop right outside it, and it is on the same lot as Dobbies garden centre and a pub if you want something to eat.
Tickets are £6.95 for adults, £5.95 for concessions and  £4.95 for children from 3 to 15 (children under 3 go free).

I would definetly recommend this as a fun day out, as there is a large jungle room with all the butterflies flying around you, as well as the room with the creepy crawlies and reptiles, and this is the area where they do the snake handling. There is a fish pond in the butterfly room, as well as terrapins and quails wandering around rows of chrysalis so you can watch the butterflies hatch!

Here are some photos of our day there!

There were bananas growing in the butterfly house!

Terrapins!

There are rows and rows of chrysalis, and some butterflies had obviously just hatched, it was amazing

Also, fish

We got sillyily excited when we discovered tiny quail running around

This is what my make up less face looked like that day

In the reptile and spidery bit, there is a big leaf cutter ant colony and they run around on these ropes above your head from the food to the nest

And finally, I held a snake!!

Man am I bad at blogging...

I really need to remember about my blog more...
But anyway, what have I been up to? Mostly, I've been going to the cinema a lot. And having a terrible sleeping pattern, and enjoying spending the weekends with my new Boyfriend (hence, cinema).

And, of course, shopping!
I've filmed 3 haul videos so far this year and need to film another one, and this needs to stop! Bold claims here, but I'm going to try going the whole of February without buying make-up or clothes. Partly, because I'm running out of space to put everything, and also because I want to be able to go on holiday in the summer, so money = needed.

So you heard it here first kids, no hauls in Feb for me!
Oh God, this means I have to have other ideas for videos *gulp*

Pets, hurrah!

The Pet Tag!

Hey guys. So I just filmed a pet tag video on my YouTube channel, so I thought I would write this post with a massive pet photo spam to go along with it!

First will be Tigga photos!

Tigga is an 8 year old tabby moggy.

Here is Tigga sitting on a car!

Snuggled up on my shoulder

On my bed (where he isn't meant to be) being cute and stuff

Not impressed with his tiara.

Now its time for Willow!

Willow is 4 and a German Wirehaired Pointer.

That's not how you use a seat...

All the pets love Christmas

Neither of them are meant to be on my bed...

Disney Movie Obsession

I have been just a tad obsessed with Disney films lately. And not just Pirates of the Caribbean. I've watched Little Mermaid, Robin Hood and Lion King and Lion King 2 in the last week. Plus its getting to the time of year when I'll break out Nightmare Before Christmas and watch it too much.

Now, this isn't as bad as some people are with re-watching, as I haven't seen most of these films since I was about 13 and the VHS player packed in (luckily this was just after my dad bought a DVD player) so I could still watch PotC weekly (this isn't really an exaggeration...), so I don't think I should be judged too harshly. I did however still know most of the words to the songs (and the non-singing sections).
I'm sure I would be so much smarter if my brain wasn't clogged up with songs and quotes.

So for fun here are my top 5 favourite Disney films!

1. Pirates of the Caribbean. Well, its obvious really. I cannot think of a bad word to say about it. Pirates, Orlando Bloom and awesome soundtrack!
2. Beauty and the Beast. This was one of the first films I saw in the cinema (I think we saw Tom and Jerry Kids before this, but this was the second one) and Belle has always been my favourite princess. She reads, lives in France, has brown hair and doesn't find the macho ladies man attractive. So much relating! Plus singing tea cups! My 5th birthday cake was of the mirror and the magic rose, and my sister and I once dressed up as Belle and Beast for fancy dress (I was Belle, obvs). (Anyone else think that Beast was better looking as the beast, rather than he was human? No, just me?)
3. Mulan. I didn't see Mulan until I was 19. And I fell in love with it. IT HAS EDDIE MURPHY AS A DRAGON! And I'll Make A Man Out Of You is a truly amazing song.
4. The Little Mermaid. This came out the year I was born, and I think my parents bought this as it was the only video I ever wanted to rent from the shop. I used to do the whole leaning on things and pretending to rise up on a rock with a wave. Also Eric is the hottest of all the Princes. There will be no discussion on this.
5. Nightmare Before Christmas. Yes, another non-traditional Disney film, and another late addition to the list. I was really scared of the trailer for this when I was little, and had to fast forward past it. But when I was a teenager, a friend forced me to watch it. And I don't regret it a bit. Unlike the time I broke my favourite Oggie Boggie mug :( but I watch it lots at this time of year until Christmas and enjoy it every year.

Welp, those are what I think are the best Disney films. Do feel free to add you're opinions, but I'm pretty sure I've got it right (I haven't seen Brave, Tangled or that one with a frog and Lion King and Aladdin just missed out btw)

Also leave suggestions for other post/videos you'd like to see!
Bye folks!
